Natalie Reid

Natalie Reid (born 1985) is a Canadian actress, singer, model, and celebrity look-alike impersonator who is best known to her fans as the look-alike for Paris Hilton, whom she is also friends with.

[edit] Profile

Born and raised in the Transcona neighborhood of Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada, Reid is a graduate of the Collège Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau who became a household name after moving to New York City, where she has resided since 2005, when during photo shoots, several photographers began telling her that she looked like a certain celebrity, who turned out to be none other than Paris Hilton. It was from there that Reid decided to cash in on her new found fame as the "Faux" Paris and by 2006 would end up becoming as famous as her lookalike, making headlines in the gossip columns of newspapers like The New York Post. Although some celebrities would not be flattered at having someone else posing as them, Reid has received the seal of approval by the real Ms. Hilton, who seems to be impressed with her convincing performance that it would come in handy for the biggest surprise in television history.

In a July 2006 installment of the reality-based series, The Simple Life, Paris hired Natalie to pose for her on an assignment to play a "Wife" for a couple — on the WRONG day! It turned out that Nicole Richie was supposed to have that assignment. When Richie confronted Natalie, she told her that if she did not follow Richie's rules, Natalie would be exposed as a fraud to their guest hosts. Richie also used this advantage to get back at Paris by having an Australian journalist conduct an interview with her and the faux Paris. That was until the real Paris got wind of it and went to the couple's home to confront Nicole and Natalie.

Besides her modeling and impersonation work which she rakes in about $2000 per appearance, Reid has also started taking acting lessons in both New York and Los Angeles, and is pursuing a career as a professional actress.

In September 2006, Reid became the latest Canadian to grace Playboy magazine, where she is featured in a six-page photo spread. However, she was neither on the magazine cover or the featured playmate of the month in that issue. Hilton, on the other hand, has turned down offers to pose for Playboy several times, even though she was on the cover in 2005.
