Nasgaroth

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nasgaroth is a place existing in the fictional Middle-earth universe created by J. R. R. Tolkien. The place itself is not mentioned in any of the book of this author, but appears on more detailed maps of the Middle-earth. Its location led fans to consider it generally an old, abandoned fortress of the Dark Elves (also called Black Elves), and the officially released Sindarin Dictionary (a complete dictionary and lesson of grammar of the elfish language invented by Tolkien) shows the source of the name as combination of two elfish words: Nass (mountain peak) and Garth (fortress).
