NASCAR SimRacing, or NSR for short, is a computer racing simulator released in early 2005 by EA Sports for PC. The game included most of the 2004 NEXTEL Cup tracks except Pocono Raceway and featured the cars of Ryan Newman, Clint Bowyer, and the Craftsman Truck Series truck of Chad Chaffin on the cover. Although the game cover shows Ryan Newman's Dodge Charger all 3 in game series were based off the 2004 Season.

The game features NASCARs 3 major series NEXTEL Cup Series, NASCAR Busch Series, and the Craftsman Truck Series. The game also included single player and multiplayer modes and a career mode for single player.

Alcohol-related sponsors are removed from the game completely. The most notable example of this is the Busch Series, which is referred to as the NASCAR National Series (in reference to Busch Grand National Series, a previous name of the series). When an alcohol sponsor would normally appear on a car, it is replaced by the team or an alternate primary sponsor; examples are Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s (Dale Earnhardt, Inc., not Budweiser), Rusty Wallace's (Rusty Wallace rather than Miller Lite), Sterling Marlin (Sterling Marlin instead of Coors Light) cars.

Nascar Sim Racing is often criticized by players for its lack of support from EA Sports. The game suffered many problems including a infamous 'yellow flag bug' which would cause the player to be disqualified from a race for passing on accident while under caution in both single player and multiplayer races.
