Low-resolution version of "Éowyn and the Nazgûl" by Ted Nasmith.

It features an incident of the Battle of the Pelennor Fields from J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy book, The Lord of the Rings involving the aforementioned, Merry Brandybuck and a fell beast.

The artwork is copyrighted by Ted Nasmith.

[edit] Fair use

  • The image was made by a well-known illustrator of Tolkien's works.
  • In August 2006, Nasmith gave permission for his artworks to be used via e-mail exchange with a member of a related Wikiproject, Wikiproject Middle-earth. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Middle-earth/archive5#New_Images
  • The image is at much lower resolution than the original (60% smaller), and therefore of less quality.
  • The image will and should only be used for informational purposes for these articles: Fell beast and Witch-king of Angmar
  • The image does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the originals or prints in any way.
  • Its inclusion will add significantly to the articles because it illustrates one of the scenes from The Lord of the Rings featuring the subjects of those articles.
