This portal has been designed to offer you a starting point of the vast resources Wikipedia contains relating to C. S. Lewis' fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia, and all surrounding topics. Lewis published seven books, and they have since been adapted into other forms of media. The BBC produced four of the books into a television series, and a film series produced by Disney and Walden Media is currently in the making. This portal is currently under construction, and any help from all Wikipedians is much appreciated. Please enquire on the discussion page or head over to the Narnia WikiProject for more information. Puddleglum
Puddleglum is a character who appears in The Silver Chair in which he is a principal character. He is an uncommonly cheerful Marsh-wiggle; however Marsh-wiggles are most well-known for their pessimistic views on life. Thus a Marsh-wiggle's idea of cheerfulness is still a rather gloomy personality, and as such Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole, fellow protagonists, initially thought of Puddleglum as a "wet blanket". He first appears in chapter 5 of The Silver Chair, where he introduces himself by saying, "Puddleglum's my name. But it doesn't matter if you forget it."

- … that during the scene in which Professor Kirke talk with Peter and Susan in the 2005 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, one can see the Professor retrieving tobacco from a silver apple container, a clear reference to events stemming from his own boyhood journey into Narnia in "The Magician's Nephew" when he was asked to retrieve a silver apple from Aslan's garden.
