Narayanalayam is situated at Nalleppilly, a beautiful village in India, just 43 km away from Coimbatore and 20 km away from the district headquarters of Palakkad. This Hindu ashramam, fully functioning since 1988, is wholly dedicated to spiritual and charitable activities, under the auspicious guidance and vibrant leadership of SWAMY SANMAYANANDA SARASWATHY MAHARAJ. The ashramam in the beginning started as a small gathering of people, for namasankeerthanam (recitation of lords name), as a befitting tribute to the beloved acharyan sri Anjam Madhavan Namboothiri (better known as anjam thirumeni), later transformed to a hub of spiritual activities in the entire region and the activiteis are flourishing day by day. Some of the main events in the ashramam include the Bhagavatha Sapthaham, conducted in the month of May every year, Devi Mahathmya Navaham held during the Navarathri season and the kodi archana held every year during September/October. The musical festival organised every year to commemorate memory of late music maestro Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavather and the Sivarathri festival are some of the other main events in the ashramam.
