Narada Productions

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Narada Productions is a record label formed in 1983 as a new age music label. Narada has expanded to release music from other styles including world music & jazz. Genres published now include world, Celtic, new flamenco, jazz, new age, acoustic guitar and piano genre releases. In 1997, along with its affiliated companies, Narada was purchased by EMI and put under the fold of Virgin Records. Since then, Narada has become the principal US licensee for Peter Gabriel's Real World Records. Formerly based in the Milwaukee suburb of Glendale, Wisconsin, Narada has been moved to EMI's New York City headquarters, with sister label Higher Octave[1].
