Napoleon is a city in Henry County, Ohio, United States, along the Maumee River. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 9,318. It is the county seat of Henry CountyGR6.

Napoleon is located at GR1.
(41.392028, -84.126648)According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 15.5 km² (6.0 mi²). 14.5 km² (5.6 mi²) of it is land and 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 6.37% water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 9,318 people, 3,813 households, and 2,470 families residing in the city. The population density was 643.6/km² (1,668.1/mi²). There were 4,066 housing units at an average density of 280.8/km² (727.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 93.63% White, 0.84% African American, 0.34% Native American, 0.61% Asian, 3.52% from other races, and 1.06% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.34% of the population.
There were 3,813 households out of which 32.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.0% were married couples living together, 10.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.2% were non-families. 30.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 2.99.
In the city the population was spread out with 25.9% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 89.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.8 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $37,467, and the median income for a family was $45,776. Males had a median income of $33,702 versus $23,475 for females. The per capita income for the city was $18,078. About 8.9% of families and 10.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 16.3% of those under age 18 and 4.1% of those age 65 or over.

Napoleon's economy is based on the manufacturing of a variety of goods, especially food products. A major employer is the world's largest Campbell's Soup Company Plant. Napoleon is also home to the Northwest Ohio Technology Society.
