Napier Road
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Napier Road is the principal red light district of Karachi, Pakistan. It is located near LEE Market (a famous bus stop) and NOT roughly two miles south of Central Karachi, in an area known as Seaview Beach, and named after the the first British Governor of the Sindh province.
Because prostitution is illegal in Pakistan, the majority of Napier Road's brothels masquerade as dancing halls and theatres. The women refer to themselves as entertainers, and arrangements for sexual services are usually made through private pimps.[1] Approximately 1,000 of Karachi's 20,000 commercial sex workers are believed to operate within the district.
