Nap can refer to:

- a British horse racing / betting term for the best bet advised by an expert on a given day (from Napoleon - the most valuable French coin at the time the phrase was first used.)
- the direction in which the strands of hair or fur are oriented on the skin of an animal or human body. The direction of the pile in a carpet.
- a measure of the thickness of a paint roller
- a sewing term for the raised surface of certain cloth, such as flannel
- a slang term for kinky or curly hair (naps)
- a noun meaning day and sun in Hungarian
