Nanganallur

Nanganallur is one the southern suburbs of Chennai, in Tamil Nadu. It is a residential area close to the Chennai Airport. It is a municipality and is adjacent to the suburbs such as Madipakkam and Adambakkam.

Sri Siddhivinayakar Temple, The Hanuman Temple , Guruvayurappan Temple , Ayyappa Temple, Sri Rajarajeswari Temple, Sri Satya Narayanar Temple,Sri Devi Karumaariamman Temple, Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar Temple, Sri Ardhanaareeshwarar Temple are some of the prominent temples located here.
Arthanareeswar temple is ancient and very famous in Nanganallur. Once (about 1970) Kanchi seer, Shri Chandrasekarar, visited this place and asked the localist about the whereabouts of the Sivalingam. The local people searched but could not find. Later it was found in the nearby pond where a washerman was using the Lingam as stone. The local people took this great information to the Kanchi seer, who installed the lingam. This is the only one temple with a pond nearby.

Nanganallur is a very nice suburb providing an amazing atmosphere for raising a family. It provides very good education opportunities via excellent educational institutions such as Modern Senior Secondary School, Prince Matriculation School to name a few.

Sri Rajarajeswari Temple. On 2nd July 2006 the 4th Maha Kumbhabhishekam was conducted by Swamiji. Nanganallur has been the abode of mother Goddess Rajarajeswari for last 4000 years.
