The "project" page for Japanese municipal symbols can be found at Japanese municipal symbols. City symbols, as well as maps, are necessary for the Japanese city template.

For anyone interested in helping out with any of the tasks below, translating is the most needed thing here. Many of the stub pages can be translated from Japanese, so if you are capable of doing so, please help! The below list has been organized in order. If you create one of the missing articles, rather than crossing it out, please move it into the next column. Likewise, if you have removed stub-status from one of the articles in the "Stub" category, move it into the "Map needed" category. Note the relative emptiness of the second row (minor translation work is the biggest hindrance so far), so start editing!

Also, just because an article is in the "finished" section does not necessarily mean that it is at FA-level. There are always things that can be added to an article, so if you find something that an article in the "finished" section needs, just list it under the article title rather than moving it into the "other" section. In other words, if it's not a stub, has a template, and has a photo or two, it should be okay to be placed in the "finished" section.
