Naked Raven

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Naked Raven is an Australian chamber pop band from Melbourne, formed in 1994. Combining elements of jazz, pop, folk and classical music, 'The Ravens' (as the band is affectionately known) produce highly sophisticated, emotive sounds, sometimes ethereal, always hauntingly beautiful.

Naked Raven is unusual among Australian bands in that it spends much of its time touring Europe, especially Germany, where it has achieved a degree of critical acclaim and commercial success. The line-up of Naked Raven has changed several times; the sole remaining original member is James Richmond, and the current lead singer is Janine Maunder.

The shortly released Album "Never Quite" is the first which was not recorded in Australia. Instead the Ravens went to a studio in Berlin, the city that became sort of their second home.
