[edit] Name Origin
It's a combination of Nakano, which was the name of the town before it became part of Sendai city, and Sakae, which is the name of the area currently. The station was going to be called Nakano Station, but since there was already a JR East Nakano Station, the fused name was chosen over Rikuzen-Nakano.
