Najafabad

Najafabad is a city in Isfahan Province, Iran. In 2005 it had an estimated population of 232,700[1] (1991 pop. 160,004), (2002 pop. 200,000). It is located 28 kilometers west of Isfahan.

Najafabad is the birthplace of Grand Ayatollah Hossein-Ali Montazeri and Mostafa Moeen.

The city serves as a trade center for agricultural products in the region, and is noted for its pomegranates.

One of the attractions of Najafabad is "Arg-e Sheykh Bahaie" that recently has been repaired.
