Nairobi Province
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nairobi Province is one of eight provinces in Kenya. It shares common boundaries with Nairobi city, the capital of Kenya, but functions as a state unit. Nairobi has a Provincial Commissioner (Francis Sigei).
The province differs in several ways from other Kenyan provinces. The province is smallest in area and is entirely urban. It has only one local authority, Nairobi City and only one district, Nairobi District. However, as with all districts in Kenya, the district is further divided into "divisions" and then "locations". Nairobi Province has eight constituencies, which generally follow same boundaries with administrative divisions of the same name.
