NAINPUR is a small town 110 kms from JABALPUR.WITH narrowguage train connecting it to the world ,its slightly difficult to get there but narrowguage train journey is an experience in itself.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Nainpur had a population of 21,769. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Nainpur has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 68%. In Nainpur, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Nainpur is a railway junction on the narrow gauge (2' 6") line between Jabalpur to the north and Balaghat to the south. This line is scheduled for conversion to broad gauge. Narrow gauge branch lines to Mandla in the east and Chhindwara in the west meet the Jabalpur-Gondia line at Nainpur.
