I don't get it.. the provider sends out a new card every 14 days? That can't be true.

The article is simply wrong!
The customer get's one single card. The card contains keys, which are used to decrypt the encrypted datastream. Those keys are renewed perodically. The interval can be from daily to almost never.
The cards have been exchanged only very few times, after hackers managed to dump the data out of those cards. Then a revised and more secure card has been distributed to customers.

There was no need for the very, very messy explanation of the encryption system, or the rest of the quite POV-filled article, so I did a full rewrite. Feel free to re-add the description of the system, if it meets the MoS; but don't libel equipment makers next time round... --Kiand 21:25, 10 September 2005 (UTC)
