Naeem Ahsan

Naeem Ahsan is a technology journalist, technical writer and newspaper columnist.
After completing his initial education he went to Lahore to study at the University of the Punjab. From Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT) he earned a masters degree in computer science.
Pakistan was still in the computer ‘dark ages’ when he started writing about computer sciences. Looking back at his initial books today, they seem rather awkward – lackluster-- even uninteresting – but such was the nature of the field of technology back in the early 1990s. To date he has produced more then four dozen books on biographies, history, science and various computer related subjects. He has achieved a number of important milestones:
He is the first Pakistani who transferred the knowledge of ever-cryptic -- Information Technology into Urdu for the benefit of the nation’s public all those whose medium of instruction was Urdu.
He also holds the distinction of introducing the concept of regular Information Technology editions in the national Urdu newspapers. The publishing of such editions in the daily Nawa-i-Waqt paved the way for others to follow.
Over a five-year period, he has produced more than 600 articles aimed at boosting computer literacy and general awareness of science and technology.
Ahsan is also contributing regular articles in lieu of the latest developments taking place in the world of science & technology with his articles being published on a nationwide scale through the most renowned newspapers, publications & magazines in Pakistan.
