Nadeem (Urdu: ندیم) is one of the most popular and durable film stars of Pakistan.He has played leading roles in more than 200 movies.
Nadeem was born in Karachi[citation needed] as Nazeer Baig Mughal(Urdu: نذیر بیگ), played cricket and wanted to be a playback singer in the movie industry. He got an opportunity to go to Dhaka to sing playback songs for a film "CHAKORI" and was also offered the role of the villain. Later, his role was switched to the hero of the movie. The film turned out to be a super hit movie and Nadeem became a bonafide Hero of Pakistan film industry. During the shooting of the film Nadeem got romantically involved and got married soon after. Nadeem had to shuttle between Karachi, Lahore and Dhaka to act in movies. After the fall of Dhaka and formation of Independent state of Bangladesh, Nadeem finally settled in Lahore which would become his home for the next 30 years. Then, with a deteriorating condition of the film industry, in the year 2000, he debuted for a TV serial which was a major success.This started off his career in Television as well.Nadeem has two sons.
