Nacer Barazite

Nacer Barazite (born May 27, 1990) is a Dutch footballer, currently playing for Arsenal. He was spotted by Arsenal scouts while representing his country at the U-16 level. He was then signed in the summer of 2006 from NEC Nijmegen following a short trial at Arsenal in May. He can play well in either the midfield or the role of striker. Like fellow reserves star Fran Merida he scored on his debut in a friendly against Boreham Wood on 4 August 2006. Nacer recently claimed that his idol is fellow Dutch striker Robin van Persie who is also currently at Arsenal.
