Nação Zumbi

Band formed by the musicians of the group Chico Science & Nação Zumbi after the death of the band leader Chico Science.

In their songs they experiment with mixing of rock, rap, soul and Brazilian traditional music, with heavy use of percussion instruments.

Nação Zumbi is: - Jorge Du Peixe, vocals, percussion and effects; - Lucio Maia, guitar and backing vocals - Dengue, bass - Gilmar Bola Oito, vocals and percussion - Toca Ogan, vocals and percussion - Pupilo Paupequeno, drums.

They also play with hired percussionists, Da Lua and Marcos Mathias being the current ones (2004/2006).

The band, as of 2004, had released four albums and an MP3-only EP.

  • Revolucion EP is a non-official release, with studio outtakes, live cuts and tracks by parallel projects of the group, such as Los Sebozos Postiços, a Experiência de Lucio Maia and Crazy Crabs.
