N. G. Ranga

N. G. Ranga or Achrya N. G. Ranga is a former politician from Guntur City in India. He was born in the Nidubrolu countryside of Guntur District. His fullname is Gogineni Ranganayukulu.

He was educated at the University of Oxford. On his return to India he took up teaching as a Professor of Economics at Pachaiyappa's College, Madras (Chennai). He joined in the freedom movement inspired by Gandhiji's clarion call. Professor Ranga was an outstanding parliamentarian, who rendered remarkably selfless service for the cause of the farmers. In his honour and memory Agricultural University of Andhra Pradesh is named after him. His name was entered in the Guinness Book of World Records as a Parliamentarian with 50 years of service [citation needed].
