[edit] Parodies in other shows

The entire show was parodied on the South Park episode "Hell on Earth 2006", where Satan threw a massive Halloween party "all about him" and anyone who didn't show up "was a loser." His behavior parodied the spoiled, self-centered attitudes the girls and boys on the show have. When he realizes his folly at the end, the message is that the kids on "My Super Sweet 16" are worse than Satan.

The show was also parodied on Saturday Night Live on the Scarlett Johansson/Death Cab for Cutie episode.
