[edit] Synopsis

J.D. addresses the news that he's going to be a father; Dr. Cox is troubled about how his anger is going to impact his offspring; Carla and Turk organize for the impending arrival of their new baby; Elliot senses being left out because she's childless; and the Janitor wonders if he has wasted his life.

In this episode there are three separate story arcs that involve J.D. dealing with Kim's pregnancy, Dr. Cox's anger and the Janitor's fear that he is wasting his life. In each arc the character has a patient (in the Janitor's case, simply a new friend) who is portrayed by the actor who plays the respective character, as though they are looking in a mirror. This is where the episode title is derived from. At the end of the episode we see each of the patients' faces turning into the face of the main character as they have a revelation brought on by their experiences in the episode.

[edit] Trivia

  • J.D.'s patient is named "Mrs. Zeebee". This is possibly a reference to Zach Braff's initials, Z.B.
