[edit] Plot
Neena Broderick, an attorney who specializes in malpractice cases, turns up at the hospital in search of discontent patients. Later, it turns out that a patient in need of risky surgery is her father. This leads Kelso, Dr. Cox, and J.D. to refuse to treat the man. Neena convinces Mr. Corman to sue Turk for ruining his tennis serve. After wrestling with the moral issue of treating Neena's father, J.D. decides that the treatment should go ahead.
[edit] Quotes
- Dr. Cox: I'm on a scavenger hunt and I need to find a black haired, soulless bottom-feeder. Oh, hi Neena.
Neena: How ironic, because what I need is a burned out, permed up doctor with a God complex and a drinking problem.
J.D.: Don't listen to her. Most guys would kill for those curls.
- J.D.: OK Mr. Steel, first name "Man Of".
Dr. Cox: You're Done.
- Turk: Mr. Korman, I've filed a restraining order, which means if you come to my house, call my cell phone...
Mr. Korman: Excuse me. I know what a restraining order is. You act like I've never dated.
[edit] Trivia
- Turk changes his cell phone number to 1-916-CALL-TURK (in fact, 1-916-CALL-TUR). Unlike most phone numbers given in television shows and movies, which often use the fictional 555 area code, 1-916-CALL-TURK was a real phone number registered by Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence. Calls to the number are generally answered by a voicemail message about the latest news regarding Scrubs, but a few surprised callers had their calls answered by members of the Scrubs cast and crew, including Bill Lawrence, Robert Maschio, Sam Lloyd, Zach Braff, and Donald Faison. [1]
- The song J.D. imagines the malpractice attorney "busting balls" to is "one" from the musical A Chorus Line.
