This article is about the 1979 Madness song. "My Girl" is also the name of an unrelated song by The Temptations.
My Girl is a song by British pop group Madness from their debut One Step Beyond... album. It was written by Mike Barson who also sang on the demo version of the song. However, later it was rerecorded with Suggs on lead vocals like in most Madness songs. The song spent 10 weeks on UK charts peaking at number 3.
The music video for "My Girl" was shot in Dublin Castle in London.
The song was covered by Tracy Ullman as "My Guy" in 1984.
