My Friend Dario is the first single from Vitalic's debut album, OK Cowboy. This is the first single from Vitalic to use "Brigitte", a vocal-synthesis program. [1] "No Fun", which is another track on OK Cowboy, also uses Brigitte.
The music video for this single features a band that doesn't actually use instruments. For instance, the guitarists would air guitar and the drummer would air drum. The music video would only show them "playing" when the song reached the guitar solos. The whole no instruments concept reinforces the statement Pascal Arbez has said about the OK Cowboy album in which "instruments used in the album are fake and are produced from a synthesizer".
