MVSN Colonial Militia

MVSN Colonial Militia were based in the Italian African colonial possessions of Italian North Africa comprising Cyrenaica and Tripolitania, in Italian East Africa comprising Eritrea and Ethiopia, lastly and Italian Somaliland. These units consisted of seven Legions of militia recruited initially from Italian colonists, but later included local Africans.
- First Legion - Addis Ababa in Ethiopia
- Second Legion - Asmara in Eritrea
- Third Legion - Gondar in Ethiopia
- Fourth Legion - Massawa in Eritrea
- Fifth Legion - Mogadishu in Somalia
- Sixth Legion - Jimma in Ethiopia
- Seventh Legion - Dessie in Ethiopia
All legions were destroyed in the fighting in Africa during World War II.
