Since 2005 Spanish Grand Prix company is a sponsor of Renault F1 team (Source: "Renault gets a Spanish sponsor", [1], April 20, 2005). The Mutua Madrilena branding appeared on the race cars, the drivers' suits and the team clothing. This coincided with the company launching a new corporate image.

After the ending of 2006 Formula One season the company declares the move the sponsorship from Renault F1 to McLaren-Mercedes with Fernando Alonso.
