Talk:Must-carry

[edit] Worldwide view

In a disagreement about how to properly categorize this article, a user indicated that the term is used internationally. However, as written, the article is exclusively American in focus. If it's an international term, then the article needs to be expanded to reflect international usage, and if it's American-specific, then it needs to be restricted to American-specific categories and come out of international parent categories such as Category:Television. Please clarify. Bearcat 02:21, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

If there is must-carry worldwide, as there apparently is in Ireland, then authors should add material as needed rather than complain about a lack of globalization. Tvccs 21:49, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding this article...

I've made a number of visits here, and was glad to see this article was here in the first place. I thank all the contributors to it, and hope it will be expanded further. In this instance, I was the lead expert for the government and the broadcasters on Turner and produced 100,000 pages of orginal research, which provided much of the factual basis the Court eventually relied upon, and was also directly involved in the passing of the Satellite Home Viewer Act. Please be careful about editing information here if you are not thoroughly familiar with the subject matter. Tvccs 18:08, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
