Politics

The historical pind of Mustafabad has been first mentioned in scripture since the early 1800’s, and was under the rule of Shah Mustafa Aziz. After the termination of the Mughal rule the pind underwent radical political change and out of the turmoil emerged a political system seen by no other village. This was none other than the Panchayat of Seth Virendra Singh Kasal, a decendent of the Mughal Empire that took position as the Sarpanch. However, with the passage of the 72nd and 73rd Constitutional amendments in 1990, a number of people rebelled the rule of Virendra Singh and a new leader was born. This leader is none other than Shreemati Shikha Kasal Ji. Currently the political climate is highly stable under the leadership of Shreemati Shikha Kasal Ji, who was elected as the Sarpanchni of the pind of Mustafabad. She also studied at Haryana Agriculture University (HAU) in Hisar where she completed her LLB in top honours. A very famous quote from her ground-breaking meeting at the local Panchayat is “Is gaon ka bhavishya humare haath mein hai… jo jeeta vo sikandar..” (Zee News: Indira Mathur, Special Correspondent). It has been predicted that the leadership of Shreemati Shikha Kasal Ji will rein for years to come as she has made numerous advancements in all facets of Government and policy changes and has redefined the meaning of Pind Law.
