A Music Express (also commonly referred to as a Musik Express) is an amusement parkand fair/carnival ride designed by Moser Rides of Germany.

[edit] Design and operation
The ride features twenty 3-passenger cars connected in a circle. These cars rotate on a track with alternating sloped and flat sections. Rotation is possible in both a backwards and forwards direction, as the ride is manually operated. The ride is powered by multiple DC motors with 5 gears, and can reach a maximum speed of 10 rotations per minute.
The riders in each car are restrained by a single solid lap bar that is locked across the body of the car; making the ride unsuitable for young children or people of short stature. Lights and music are also controlled by the operator, which (as the name suggests) contribute heavily to the ride experience.
Some Music Expresses are built with a backdrop dividing the rear third of the ride from the front two-thirds. This backdrop, normally covered in artwork and lights, and providing a mild headchopper-like effect as the riders enter and exit the rear section. As this blocks lines of sight, additional staff are required to safely supervise this ride in operation.
[edit] Other Musik Expresses
Besides Moser of Germany, there are a couple other companies that have make this ride. They do call them Musik Express though instead of Music Express. One is Bertazzon, and the other is Majestic Rides. They do the same thing though as the other Music Express.
[edit] Other Similar Rides
Besides the Music Express, there are other types of these rides. They are basically identical to what this ride does. The Himalaya is a Wisdom Ride that is usually very flashy with purple or blue cars. In the center of it, there is usually a disko ball with lights. It comes on one trailer. Another name for that ride is the Blizzard, or Matterhorn (It's not the Flying Bobs type of ride.)
A smaller Himalaya is called Silver Streak. This is also made by Wisdom Rides. The Wisdom Himalaya has a bigger circle than the Silver Streak does. The cars also are bigger, but yet there are the same amount. There is usually lightning bolts in the middle of the ride.
Yet another manufacturer of the same ride is called Reverchon. This Reverchron Himalaya is a bigger one, and thus you might just find this at an amusement park. The difference is that it's slower than Wisdom's, and the cars lap bars open much easier.
The last manufacturer is Bertazzon. They make the Rock and Roll like the Music Express. There isn't much to say about them except that there rides look very nice.
All these rides are supposed to run both go forwards, and backwards.
