MusiMax is a Canadian French language cable television music channel operating out of Montreal, Quebec. It is the sister channel of MusiquePlus and the French analogue to MuchMoreMusic (the sister station of MuchMusic.) Its focus is oriented more toward the adult-contemporary and soft-rock market, interspersed with programming dedicated to classic rock, as well as many films. The channel launched on September 8, 1997 and is owned by Astral Media (50%) and CHUM Limited (50%).
