Mushroom Rock State Park contains mushroom rock formations in the Smoky Hills region of Kansas. They were formed by the erosion of a harder rock on top of a softer rock. The rock contains Dakota Sandstone. There are two mushrooms and a giant shoe rock, as well as numerous other rock formations. The 5 acre park is located near Salina, Kansas, just south of I-70.
