Mushahada

Mushahada or Mushahadah derived from the arabic word shahada whic means to look, to see. Mushahadah means the act of seeing or remembering the oneness or the unity God. Mushahadah also is the practice of tawheed or the act of asserting the unity of Allah.
In a book written by Syeikh Muhammad Nafis bin Idris ibnul Hussin Al Banjari, Ad Darun Nafis (The Beautiful Pearl) he has mentioned how to perform mushahadah tawheed.
Firstly is Mushahadah Tawheed Al-Af'al (Seeing the Oneness of Allah's Deeds or Acts); Secondly is Mushahadah Tawheed Al-Asma' (Seeing the Oneness of Allah's Names; Thirdly is Mushahadah Tawheed As-Sifaat (Seeing the Oneness of Allah's Attributes; Forthly is Mushahadah Tawheed Az-Zaat (Seeing the Oneness of Allah's Person or Being.
Mushahadah contain in the tasawwuf knowledge. Whereas it is the knowledge to purify and to protect faith (iman) and deed (amal or ibadah) from shirk whether shirk jali (clear), shirk khafi (tiny) and shirk khafiul khafi (tiny and hidden).
