Museumplein (or Museum Square) is a square in Amsterdam, The Netherlands that is surrounded by some important museums:

As a result, it is a favoured location for tourists. Also located at the square is the royal Concertgebouw (Concert building).

The square was reconstructed in 1999. The design of the new Museumplein is by the Swedish/Danish landscape architect Sven-Ingvar Andersson. It includes underground parking spaces and a underground supermarket. In the winter, the pond can be transformed into an artificial ice skating area.

Museum Square is the biggest square in Amsterdam and is often used for large events, celebrations, and demonstrations.
