Museology

Museology (also called museum studies) is the study of how to organize and manage museums and museum collections.
Academic institutions offer degrees in museology.
In the United Kingdom, the University of Leicester, the University of Manchester and University College London (UCL) offer Museum Studies courses.
A variety of careers exist within the discipline of museum studies, including Museum director, curator, educator, docent (volunteer), graphic designer, exhibit designer, archivist and conservation specialist.
