Murray School District

Murray School District is a public school district located in Murray, which is a suburb of Salt Lake City, capital of Utah. It was created on January 1, 1906 after a proclamation issued on July 1, 1905 designated Murray as "second class", meaning that it could then provide for its own education. The district is governed by five members of the Board of Education.
The school district is also the smallest in Salt Lake County. The other school districts in the area include the Jordan School District, the Granite School District and the Salt Lake City School District.
Murray School District has two High Schools: Murray High and Creekside High. They have two Middle Schools: Riverview Jr. High and Hillcrest Jr. High. They also have seven Elementary Schools including: Grant Elementary, Horizon Elementary, Viewmont Elementary, McMillan Elementary, Liberty Elementary, Longview Elementary, and Parkside Elementary.
