The Murphy Hotel (or Murphy's Hotel) was once a leading hotel in downtown Richmond, Virginia. It sits at the corner of 8th and Broad Streets and is now known as the state of Virginia's Eighth Street Office Building. It sits on the same block as the Hotel Richmond, also known as the state's Ninth Street office building, and St. Peter's Church. Now empty, the Murphy Hotel is scheduled for demolition by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
