Municipal Borough of Enfield
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Enfield was an urban district in Middlesex, England from 1894 to 1965.
It was created by the Local Government Act 1894, covering the civil parish of Enfield. It included what is now known as Enfield Town, along with other settlements such as Brimsdown and Ponder's End. It was granted municipal borough status in 1955, and then under the London Government Act 1963 was merged with the Municipal Borough of Southgate and the Municipal Borough of Edmonton to form the London Borough of Enfield.
