Munger, Tolles & Olsen LLP (MTO) is a California law firm that, despite having offices in only two cities (Los Angeles and San Francisco), is considered one of the most prestigious firms in the country.
Sometimes called the "Cravath of the west," Los Angeles-based Munger was ranked the #1 most selective firm in Vault's 2007 Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms. MTO is known for its stringent hiring standards, which require that a candidate graduate at the top of their class from a top law school as well as posses law review and clerkship experience. References and even college grades are also scrutinized.
