Mundian To Bach Ke

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mundian To Bach Ke (Punjabi: ਮੁੰਡਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੱਚ ਕੇ, muṇḍiāṁ tōṁ bac kē), also titled "Beware of the Boys (Mundian To Bach Ke)", is a bhangra song performed by Panjabi MC. The song was released on his 1998 album Legalised. Partially fueled by Internet downloads, it charted again in 2003. The week of its release, it debuted on the UK top 40 charts at #5; it was also the first bhangra song to reach the UK top 10.[1] It also hit #33 on the Billboard charts in the United States and #10 in Canada.[2] In addition to features of bhangra music, the song also used the theme song from Knight Rider as an underlying beat. The lyrics of the song are in Punjabi.

A later remix of the song featured Rapper Jay-Z.

On an episode of ER, Gallant and Neela danced to the song, which Gallant called a "Sikh rap."
