[edit] Plot overview
Childhood sweethearts William and May have it all – family, love and a future filled with infinite possibilities. Karen, their shy friend, has always been overshadowed by the more accomplished May. She too has always loved William. Meanwhile, in a very different world, a frail Melody plays music with her persistent suitor, Paolo. She lives in a large house with her loving grandfather Manuel and her evil step-mother Dulce. Dulce will stop at nothing to get her hands on the family’s vast wealth. She even stoops to murder. But when Manuel’s will is read, it is revealed that all of the family wealth will go to Melody when she turns 18 or to charity if she dies before that age. And from this one twist on the road, begins a story that will change the lives of William, May, Melody, Paolo and Karen forever.
