Muhammad Mustafa Mero

Muhammad Mustafa Mero (born 1941) was the prime minister of Syria from March 13, 2000 until September 10, 2003. He was appointed shortly before the death of President Hafez al-Assad apparently with the tasks of economic reforms and combatting corruption. He was kept on by Hafez's son Bashar al-Assad but eventually resigned.
