Muhammad Al-Sabah Al-Salim Al-Sabah

Mohammad Al-Sabah Al-Salim Al-Sabah was born in 1955, and is the son of the late Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah III Al-Salem Al-Sabah. His elder brother is Sheikh Salem Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, former Defense and Interior minister. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and was a professor of Economics at Kuwait University between 1979 and 1985, before delegating to Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research from 1987 to 1988. In 1993, he was then appointed as an ambassador of Kuwait to the United States. He remained in this position until he was appointed State Minister for Foreign Affairs on February 14, 2001. On February 11, 2005, Sheikh Mohammed became Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
