[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Wayne-x.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Wayne-x.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hole in the wall 17:02, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wayne Static image
OK, I have just spent 4 hours trying to find the image, and have found it - here. That site was just using an image linked to another site. I shall add the link in and remove it from the list. Cheers for the help! Just a pointer though, you should have waited untill the image had it's source found, before adding it back to the article. Hole in the wall 08:15, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:ShavoOd.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:ShavoOd.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 16:00, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging
It's not that you tagged them wrong. It's that they are copyrighted photos and we can only use them in a narrow set of circumstances. Since it's reasonable to think that we could replace these with freely-licensed photos, these need to go. Changing the tag won't really change that. —Chowbok ☠ 15:08, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- The point isn't really that we're going to be sued, although that's always a possibility. The point is that this is supposed to be an encyclopedia where all the content, with a very few exceptions, is freely redistributable. As for your question... do you mean copyrighted? Trademark is different from copyright. Every new photograph is copyrighted by default under current U.S. law. That wasn't always the case, but it has been for the last 30 years. —Chowbok ☠ 21:30, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:ShavoOd.jpg listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:ShavoOd.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in its not being deleted. Thank you. —Chowbok ☠ 23:10, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chowbok RfC
I have begun RfC procedures for User:Chowbok. Since you've had previous disputes with him about image uploads, maybe you'd like to add your commentary? [1] TheQuandry 21:47, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Personal attacks
Although we have a good-faith disagreement about policy, it is not appropriate to personally insult me, as you did here. Calling other editors "shits" is never appropriate. It is especially troubling as I have been nothing but polite to you. Please read WP:NPA and try to keep in mind that I am doing what I feel is best for Wikipedia, even though I may be misguided in my actions. —Chowbok ☠ 05:30, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No personal attacks
Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. —Chowbok ☠ 16:08, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hey
Sorry it took a while to get back to you. The userboxes (like the copyright paranoia one you found on my user page) are mostly pretty general. They have a bunch that people have made for different things and also instructions on how to make your own here [2]. TheQuandry 17:34, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- My god, do you know I found them meer minutes before I got your message, HA! Thank yo anyway, I'm really delighted you can make your own as I love to make my own stuff liek userbars, avatars, logos or sig pics!

[edit] WP:NPA
Please tone down some of your language and try to remain civil with other editors, as I'm sure you hope they would do for you. Thanks. Luna Santin 00:08, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ack. Misread the page history, thought you posted that section. Sorreh! Luna Santin 06:49, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Tyranew.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Tyranew.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Chowbok ☠ 18:29, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
