• Although fictional in nature, Mudman does resemble real life New Guinean headhunters seen in photographs of the island chain.
• Mudman makes an appearance in the nighttime Hunting Caves stage in KOF: Maximum Impact 2. He is standing slightly behind one of the cliffs, making him very difficult to see unless in Camera Mode.
