Mudlen End Studio Pottery

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mudlen End Studio Pottery was first made in 1966 by James Hart who lived at Mudlen End near Bury St Edmunds in the UK , Mudlen End was his house which was depicted in the Country Cottage series as model No 18.

The pottery was still being made in 1993 as there is a dated model of the Guildhall Feoffment School, Bury St. Edmunds, made for their 150th year anniversary.

Unfortunately Mr. Hart died in 2003 , so at the moment it is difficult to obtain definitive information regarding the pottery.

It is thought that the pottery was originally manufactured at Felsham, presumably at Mudlen End itself, subsequent production was undertaken at Unit 7, Thurston Granary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.
