muCommander

muCommander is a multi-platform orthodox file manager written completely in Java that features a Norton Commander inspired interface. This program is capable to run on any operating system that supports the Java language.

Most notable features of muCommander are:

  • Bookmarking local and remote locations
  • Browsing, creating, uncompressing ZIP, TAR and GZip archives
  • Customizing its look and feel to user demands
  • Multiple windows support
  • Virtual filesystems such as FTP, SFTP, SMB and HTTP/HTTPS
